Mufettel dates are a variety of Sukkari dates. These dates are exposed to intense sunlight while still on the palm tree, which causes water loss and leads to the dates drying out. Mufettel dates are moderately firm, light yellow in color, round, and rich in sugar. They are highly demanded in the Arab regions, which makes them slightly more expensive compared to fresh Sukkari dates. Additionally, Mufettel dates are a good source of vitamin A, which is beneficial for eye health and optic nerves.
